So it has been a while, I know....

I am not sure if anyone still stops by my page anymore and really there has not been any reason to. I have not posted any thing new for almost a year. But every morning my home page loads and up pops Aluminum Nest and I think, "I really need to post something new." In fact a lot needs to be updated on my page. So here I go, a new post.

Meebs and The Bird Pre-Game Faces

 Yesterday the girls, J and I had a family day. We decided to grill out and make ribs and play Wiffle Ball. This was the first time I got to see the girls hit the ball with out a t-ball stand. Meebs had several ground hits and The Bird had two home runs, over the back yard fence. I have really enjoyed watching J and the girls bond through sports and playing outside. We also got to experience J's homemade ribs and sauce. It was a 2 day process from start to finish. Dry rub and marinating over night and then 6 hours of smoking on the grill. We also had 2 kinds of sauce; hot and sweet. I know it all sounds pretty normal, but I am just really thankful and blessed to have this new life with my husband and two girls. More to come.

Afternoon Swim

I am little behind posting photos. These were taken two weeks ago, the girls and I came home from church and couldn't wait to jump in the river. Our neighbors across the way had their grand kids over and the girls were able to make friends and swim with them all afternoon. The Bird is getting so good at swimming and Meebs is always so adventurous jumping off the dock as well.

Pizza Mia!

Today we celebrated Meebs 4th Birthday! One of her favorite foods is pizza and we went to a local restaurant where kids can make their own pizza at the table. Here some pictures of the girls working on their creation and being silly! We had an awesome time.

So this morning Meebs was walking around giggling while I was getting ready. Then I heard The Bird laughing hysterically. When I came around the corner this is what I saw and Meebs was chanting,  "I  AM A ROBOT, I AM A ROBOT!"

Christmas Festivities

The girls and I have been busy decking the halls and making merry. Here are some shots of what we have been up to. Every year we make cookies and build a ginger bread house together. Both girls also had Christmas concerts at their schools. This has been a really great holiday season, the girls are able to experience so much and it is really cool to see them try things on their own.
