A Fine Mess

A couple of hours ago I walked into the bathroom to find toilet paper piled on to the floor. I asked my youngest Meebs to clean it up. I got the girls ready for bed and tucked them in. Once they were settled I started to pick up the girls things and walked back into the bathroom. This is what I found to my surprise.

Simpler Life

I came across this quote a few weeks ago and it does sum up my life at this point. The more I slow down and enjoy the small things put in front of me the more peace and joy I have. The trick is not just laying my peace and joy aside when life's obstacles come at me.

Part of my journey has been to restart my career. I practiced interior design for 3 years before I had my children and was blessed for a while to be able to stay at home with them. This month my girls and I will be starting a new chapter. I have accepted a full time position with an interior design firm in town and my girls will be starting new schools next week. This is an exciting time for all of us!

Pre-K Graduation

Before The Ceremony

Yesterday was a big day for The Bird. She graduated from her Pre-K school and will be starting Kindergarten in the Fall. I am so very proud of all she accomplished this year. She was a star at her ceremony singing, dancing and smiling. It was hard not to get emotional watching her walk into the church with that pink cap and gown on. I love my little bird and I am looking forward to see what kind of person she will grow-up to be. It is amazing how quickly she has grown-up!

Mother's Day

The Aluminum Nest celebrated Mother's Day with special guests. I was finishing up brunch preparations for Grandma when the girls and Grams spotted five manatees playing in the water. The most touching part of the visit was the mother manatee and young calf. Grandma did a great job getting some precious shots of the mama and baby together. They were rolling, splashing and chasing each other for about hour in front of the docks. It made me realize how special it is to be a mother and what a blessing children are. I hope your Mother's Day was filled with touching moments and celebrations for the special moms in your life.
